Twitter users welcome first child after playfully suggesting ‘come and marry me’

A Nigerian couple who met on Twitter (now X) in a lighthearted exchange about mathematics has welcomed their first child.
Their love story began in 2023 when a questionnaire about favourite school subjects was posted on the platform. A user, @BJAdeparusi, responded, expressing his love for mathematics, saying:
“It will still be Mathematics. If I no sabi a question initially, I go still find my way but I won’t be stranded. Never!”
His now-wife, @oluwafisayom, humorously replied:
“Come and marry me please so you can help our kids with their math homework .”
What started as a playful conversation quickly blossomed into a relationship, and just seven months later, the duo tied the knot. They shared adorable wedding photos, quoting how their journey began on the platform.
Now, in a heartwarming update, the couple has announced the birth of their first child.
“Happy to announce the arrival and enrollment of our daughter and first student. Alexandra Aderinsola Adeparusi. Mathematics classes have started in earnest ,” @BJAdeparusi joyfully tweeted.
The love story has captivated social media users, with many celebrating their journey from an innocent Twitter banter to a loving marriage and parenthood.
