Jude Bellingham has sent a heartfelt farewell message to outgoing Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, thanking the legendary Italian for his mentorship and impact on his development.

Bellingham, who joined Madrid in 2023 under Ancelotti’s leadership, flourished in a more advanced role.

He contributed to the club’s La Liga and Champions League triumphs in his first season.

The 21-year-old has since thrived under Ancelotti’s tactical guidance, evolving into one of the world’s top midfielders while occasionally deputising as a false nine.

Posting on Instagram, Bellingham wrote:
“Mister, thank you for everything. It was a pleasure and great experience to learn from the most successful manager of our club and one of the greatest of all time.

“What you have taught me about life and football will stick with me always and I will be forever grateful. Good luck on your next journey, I wish you, your staff and your family nothing but happiness!”

Ancelotti, 65, is set to take over the Brazil national team, having declared he had no desire to coach another club after Madrid.

Speaking on his future, he noted:
“I don’t feel like coaching another club after Madrid. That’s what I’ve said and I maintain. In the future… I don’t know. But the most immediate thing is to do well with Brazil.”

Real Madrid have already lined up a successor, with Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso set to take charge following Ancelotti’s final game on Saturday against Real Sociedad.
