Everton are set to revive interest in Wilfred Ndidi, with plans to trigger the Nigerian midfielder’s £9 million release clause at Leicester City.

Ndidi, 28, is looking to exit the King Power Stadium this summer, despite signing a three-year deal with the Foxes last year.

The clause embedded in that contract now offers clubs a clear pathway to secure his services.

The Toffees had previously shown interest in Ndidi before the 2023–24 season, but their approach was rejected.

With Leicester’s recent relegation from the Premier League, the door has reopened for potential suitors.

AS Monaco made a bid for the former KRC Genk man in January but failed to reach an agreement.

In addition, unnamed Saudi Pro League clubs are also circling, reportedly offering Ndidi significantly higher wages.

Since joining Leicester in January 2017, Ndidi has made 252 appearances, scored 11 goals, and was instrumental in their 2021 FA Cup title.
