West Ham reject Tottenham £50m bid for Mohammed Kudus despite Ghanaian favouring move
Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a £50 million bid for West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus, but the offer has been rejected by the Hammers, according to The Athletic.
Despite the initial setback, Spurs are expected to return with an improved proposal as they have made the Ghana international their top summer transfer priority.
Kudus, 24, has reportedly indicated a clear preference for a move to Tottenham, following positive discussions with the club’s hierarchy.
The decision comes despite strong interest from Chelsea, as well as Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Spurs’ approach is being driven by newly appointed head coach Thomas Frank, who has sanctioned the move as a key part of his attacking rebuild.
Kudus has a release clause structured by market, standing at £80 million for European clubs, £85 million for Premier League sides, and £120 million for Saudi Pro League teams.
Kudus remains under contract at West Ham until 2028, but sources indicate he is open to switching to North London this summer.
