US soldiers won’t return home if they invade Nigeria, Boko Haram are people’s father, husband – Portable
A Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has reacted to United States President Donald Trump’s recent warning to invade Nigeria if the killings of Christians persist.
During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born US soldier, the Zazuu Zeh crooner advised American forces not to underestimate Nigeria, insisting that invading the country would be disastrous.
“If US soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t go back home. You see all those Boko Haram people you’re hearing about? They are people’s fathers, brothers, and husbands. Most of them joined because of hunger,” Portable said.
Portable claims insurgents have elite sponsors
Portable further alleged that Nigeria’s insurgent groups have “sponsors among the elites,” both within and outside the country. He said the fight against terrorism is more complex than people assume.
His remarks quickly went viral, drawing humorous reactions from social media users.
One user, Ladi, commented, “I just believe say wetin people Dey talk say Portable never finish him drug for Yabaleft na true.”
Another joked, “He got me rolling when he said, ‘let’s talk like educated person.’”
Another user added, “Portable no just get sense, and this one sef come serious with am wahala.”

Reactions follow Trump’s stern warning
Portable’s viral moment comes amid rising international concern over Nigeria’s security situation.
President Donald Trump had earlier issued a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, threatening that the US would go “guns blazing” to stop the alleged persecution and killings of Christians in the country.
