Diogo Jota’s foundation vanishes after $64,250 donation
A website associated with late Liverpool star, Diogo Jota has vanished after it emerged that the footballer’s family was unaware of its existence.
Recall that Diogo Jota tragically passed away in a car accident on July 3, 2025, in Zamora, Spain, aged 28.
According to a report from The Telegraph, the website identified as diogojotafoundation. org was created three days after the footballer’s death, with $64,250 raised.
The donation page, which links to an off-site platform, allowed donations in the form of cryptocurrency.
The website stated that it accepted USDT, ETH, and other cryptocurrencies through NOWPayments securely.
According to the report, the site claimed that the foundation had distributed 25,000 meals, sponsored 300 children in school, and established 50 local partnerships.
