Juventus are intensifying efforts to sign Victor Osimhen but must first secure the striker’s approval and offload current forward Dusan Vlahovic, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Serie A giants made contact with Osimhen’s camp over the weekend to gauge his interest in a switch to Turin.

While the Nigerian international is reportedly open to remaining in Europe, having previously rejected a lucrative move to Saudi side Al-Hilal, Juventus are yet to receive a definitive green light.

Juventus’ pursuit hinges on two key developments: Osimhen’s “yes” and Vlahovic’s departure.

The Serbian striker, who has refused to extend his current deal, is valued at around €40 million.

Juventus are keen to cash in and reshape their frontline, with Lille’s Jonathan David also targeted on a free transfer.

Napoli are expected to sell Osimhen this summer following a breakdown in relations with the player.

However, a sticking point remains: the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract is only valid for foreign clubs, meaning Juventus would need to negotiate a separate deal, likely at a premium.

Osimhen, 25, enjoyed a prolific 2024/25 season while on loan at Galatasaray, netting 37 goals and delivering eight assists en route to a Turkish Super Lig title.

Juventus view him as the ideal spearhead for their new-look attack.

The next steps depend on Osimhen’s decision. Should he approve the move, Juventus are prepared to open formal discussions with Napoli and accelerate Vlahovic’s sale to fund the operation.
